Learn and exchange information and honor the history of Harriet Tubman in the region of her birth, learn more about the history of the Underground Railroad of the Eastern Shore during this conference. Keynote speakers will be: Dr. Carole Marks, University of Delaware; and Dr. Kate Larson, Simmons College, Boston. The conference itself will be held June 5 and 6, with opportunities for touring on June 3 & 6. An Art Walk will be held on the evening of June 4, featuring artists who have invested their talents to tell the stories of both the slaves and the families who owned the properties through music, dance, drama, and visual arts.
